Join Dr Lyn Sharratt, Sue Walsh and Maggie Ogram for a morning of learning together.

A practical workshop in which all attendees experience active participation in the host school's classrooms through the data gathering approach of Learning Walks and Talks to inform Instruction. 

In these workshops, the CLS Team unpacks the explicit protocols and processes of Learning Walks and Talks in the context of the CLARITY Learning Suite and the CLARITY Essentials.

You will hear from the host school how they are using CLARITY for explicit teaching, learning, and leading.

Morning tea will be provided.

Purpose of PD
8:20 – 8:35 am Presentation by school leaders of their school’s CLARITY journey so far. Share with participants the “Look Fors” on the Learning Walks and Talks (LWTs), evidence of CLARITY implementation and the Third Teacher.
8:35 – 8:40 am Setting the Scene - Introducing Minds On, Learning Intentions, Success Criteria, Norms and evidence based Data.
8:40 – 9:00 am The Power and Protocols of Learning Walks and Talks presented by Dr Lyn Sharratt (live streamed)
9:00 – 9:05 am Turn and Talk: Share the nuggets from Dr Lyn Sharratt’s presentation.
9:05 – 9:25 am Jigsaw Process: Resource - the Ghost Walk Paper by Dr Lyn Sharratt.
9:25 – 10:25 am Learning Walks and Talks - 4 groups visit 4 classrooms and debrief following each room.
10:25 – 10:35 am Focus on the importance of non-evaluative conversations at this gathering and highlight some phrases and language that is helpful to reserve judgement and build trust.
10:35 – 10:50 am Participants to share an insight from today, an affirmation for school team and an action they will take from today’s gathering.
10:50 - 11:00 am School Leaders close and invite Drew Janetzki to say the last word.
